Fraxel Laser

As I'm sitting in the medspa having my face numbed, I ask myself if it's worth it. The answer is...YES!!!! Today I'm having my 2nd Fraxel laser treatment done on my face. The 1st treatment was done about 6 weeks ago and I've already seen positive results.

So what is it? Fraxel is a fractional laser treatment that helps remove sun spots, fine lines, eliminate acne scarring, and aids in boosting collagen. Downtime depends on the area and the strength of the laser. For my treatments, there's really none. I looked sunburned for about a day, then tan. Your face feels a bit gritty for a few days until the dead skin sloughs away.

Why did I do it? I've done a good amount of damage by slapping on the baby oil and laying on tanning rafts for years. I've had good skin all my life but at 38, I'm noticing that it's changed quite a bit. I need to take charge now before I've done too much damage.

The results? After my 1st treatment, I've witnessed some sun spots completely disappear while others have significantly faded. I had a red spot on my cheek from a bad facial where the gal broke a cluster of capillaries. The spot was drastically lighter after my 1st treatment & I just left the spa & can already tell it's almost gone. My skin tone is so much more even and my skin feels great. It's a little pricey but I look at it this way...I only have one face to last me a lifetime.

The procedure itself takes about 1 hour for your face but you need to get numb first (that process takes an hour) so you're looking at 2 hours total. The numbing process is so totally necessary. It's a laser, and a strong one, so you have to be numb. The numbing gel is weird in itself but you're grateful for it! My procedures were performed at Club West Medspa.
