- you can make them right-side up in a muffin pan by putting cake mix to just above the checkered bottom (some people say turn the cone upside down with a muffin liner in the pan, but then you have rough cake to icing)
- box cake works fine, just bake at 350 degrees for 20 min.
- I tried fancy icing tips and even tried using my battery-operated icing pen (by Kuhn Rikon...do not recommend, more trouble than it is worth), but the most ice-cream like result came from just a 1/2 hole in the corner of a ziploc
- use a thicker fudge sauce or the squirt chocolate glaze that you microwave
- pat dry your cherries to add on top, and eat quickly! These cones get stale so do not recommend making the night before.

Ice Cream Cone Sundae Cupcakes
Today is my oldest son's 10th birthday, and I surprised his class with these cool cupcakes. Not hard to make, and turned out quite cute! I researched how to best make them and here are my words of wisdom:
Those look AWESOME!! My kids totally want me to make them. Maybe you can make them for me?? Kidding! - Heather
