BB Creams, Your new BFF?

BB creams (Beauty Balms) are the latest buzz in skincare. If you haven't heard of them yet, don't fret. They originated in Germany before making their way to Asia and are slowly making themselves known stateside. BB Cream is basically a "do it all" product in one cream. It's used for sun protection, hydration, acts as a primer, smooths skin, softens fine lines and wrinkles, covers up blemishes and imperfections, and evens out skin tone and brightens it!! Holy fabulous-ness! Another great component is that it is tinted, many available in multiple shades.

There are plenty to choose from, the key is finding which one works best for you. I'm a "New Beauty" girl & religiously follow their advice on my beauty products. But if you don't want to pay for the online subscription or magazine, go online to http://www.totalbeauty.com/content/gallery/best-bb-creams and check out Total Beauty's recommendations. They're not quite as sold on them as New Beauty but when you read the comments from the recommendations, they sound pretty darn good to me! I think I'm personally going to try Diorsnow, $50 available at Nordstrom.

  1. Hey ladies- I had never heard of these creams before Heather told me about it, and I bought several sampler sizes off Amazon to give them a try. I am sold! They give you an air-brushed look and feel very lightweight. I do feel they offer more coverage than the tinted concealer I was using. I have tried Skin79, Dr. Jart, and Missha M. These are all asian brands. I have medium light skin color, and since all of these only come in one color, I have to say I like the color of the Dr. Jart Black Label. I have sensitive skin and also seem to have done just fine with all of them! Thanks Heather!

  2. Thanks, Rhon! I also tried one & really liked it. I grabbed a sample of Bobbi Brown's while I was at the store re-stocking some things. I love it. I could easily go out wearing nothing but the BB Cream over my moisturizer & feel good about how I look. I'll have to try the Dr Jart now. I read about that one in New Beauty. Thanks for the update!!
